Robert C. Maynard, M.D., F.A.C.C.

Received his medical degree from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan in 2000. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois in 2003. A Michigan native, he returned to the Internal Medicine teaching staff at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan, and later finished his Cardiovascular Fellowship there in 2007.

Dr. Maynard is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases with additional subspecialty certifications in Comprehensive Adult Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology.

Dr. Maynard maintains staff privileges at St. John Providence Hospital, Southfield; St. John Providence Park Hospital, Novi; William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak; St. Mary Mercy Hospital, Livonia; and Botsford Hospital, Farmington.

He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University serves as the Director of the Medical Student Clerkship for the Division of Cardiology at Providence Hospital. He also instructs Providence Hospital Family Practice and Internal Medicine residents as well as Cardiology fellows.

Dr. Maynard’s additional professional affiliations include: American College of Cardiology, American Society of Echocardiography, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, Michigan Medical Society, Michigan Society of Echocardiography, Oakland County Medical Society, and the American Medical Association. He served in the Middle East as a Medical Officer in the United States Army and retired as a Major.

Dr. Maynard has a special interest in preventive cardiology and lipid management. He performs diagnostic cardiac catheterization as well as noninvasive cardiovascular testing including transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, cardiac computed tomography, and nuclear cardiology. He believes in a strong doctor-patient relationship and tailoring evidenced based cardiovascular care to meet his patient’s individual needs.
